Financial Manager CA(SA) Claremont Cape Town  

Well Established E-commerce Company in Claremont Cape Town is looking for a Financial Manager CA(SA) with 7 years post article experience in similar role

Minimum Requirements

Matric, with Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting including post graduate degree in Accounting CHARTERED ACCOUNTNAT CA(SA) ESSENTIAL

A minimum of 5 years’ post article experience in a similar role

Must be highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) & Competence in the use of Sage Accounting System

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the full financial function for a number of group companies.

Provide financial information and month end reports for consolidation into monthly, and quarterly group reports by taking ownership of the accounting function for a number of group companies.

Primary responsibilities include accounting of day to day transactions, payroll function, reporting on group cash balances, preparing annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and administering taxes including Income Tax, VAT and PAYE, as well as other statutory requirement

Day to day transactions, including capturing invoices into the companies accounting system (currently Pastel) and loading payments onto the company’s internet banking system for authorisation and release.

Responsible for ensuring that a sound financial control environment is maintained and that policies and procedures are adhered to.

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, validity and completeness of all financial transactions and data.

Reconcile bank accounts on a bi-monthly basis.

Maintain the payroll system for the holding company on the Sage payroll system.

Process month end journals AND Reconcile inter-company balances on a monthly basis.

Monitor actual expenditure against an approved budget on a continuous basis.

Compile the annual budget for a number of group companies.

Prepare and submit all statutory returns including VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, etc.

Assist the Group Financial Accountant in planning and managing the groups audit process.

Prepare all documents and reconciliations required for the annual audit.
