Financial & Admin Controller Cape Town

Our Consulting client in renewable energies is looking for a Financial Controller with strong project administration skills. If you have a combination of the 2 (Financial and Project Administration) please apply. This is a Hybrid position (work from home with meetings here and there at the office). You will ensure smooth operation and administration of these companies. The role encompasses financial, administrative, company secretarial, operational, and monitoring roles. Role is 70% Financial and 30% Project Administration based.


Salary Highly Negotiable

A minimum of three years’ experience in financial management / cost accounting / book-keeping

Computer literate: confident and proficient with PASTEL (or similar), MS Word, High level of Excel & Powerpoint

Excellent written and spoken (face to face and phone) communication skills

Self-motivated and ability to show initiative in developing the role and to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to work flexibly across several company entities with reporting lines into MD, FM and Director where needed.

Able to manage a varied workload, balancing scheduled tasks with requests for assistance from management


Job Requirements


Manage accounts and prepare monthly financial reports

Prepare and monitor budgets and facilitate annual audits

Prepare monthly billing of clients and Checking invoices against technical agreements

Collections and follow-up and handle all billing queries

Administration / Company Secretarial & Technical & Operations

Maintaining technical contract/agreement ledger

Assist in maintaining required company secretarial files and documentation.

Manage and supervise annual contract renewals

Quarterly BEE reporting to clients / collection of BEE scorecard information

Prepare, monitor performance, and distribute monthly performance reports of building sites

Administrative oversight of maintenance of building/ensuring maintenance is being undertaken

Collection of information for feasibility assessment of new building project opportunities

Assist MD in preparing financial models for projects

Assist MD in preparing proposals for new project opportunities including tenders

Coordinate monthly maintenance / status meeting with customers
