Financial Accountant Bellville Area Cape Town
Our FMCG / Manufacturing Client is looking for a Financial Accountant with 5 years’ experience coming from a manufacturing of FMCG environment. Essential that you come from a Manufacturing FMCG industry. Qualification in Financial Management a MUST. A CA(SA) or SAIPA/SAICA Membership are preferred but client will look at other applicants as well.
Salary highly negotiable
Min Requirements
- A Financial/Accounting degree is required – CA(SA) preferred but not a must
- At least five years working experience in finance coming from a Manufacturing and or FMCG environment
- Proven track record at a senior financial level in manufacturing or FMCG environment (food manufacturing highly advantageous)
- Provide financial information for strategic business decisions
- Implement accounting standards and accepted business practices in financial reporting
- Produce and deliver accessible and informative financial reports on tight deadlines
- Computer literacy with strong Excel skills is essential
- Knowledge of XERO, DEAR and SimplePay systems highly advantageous
Responsibilities
- Management and supervision of accounts department
- Input, processing, and management of General Ledger function
- Computation of VAT, Tax, PAYE and submission to tax authorities
- Production, reconciliation, and analysis of monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis and critical point summary
- Reconciliation of loan accounts
- Stock count valuation report
- Fixed Asset Register and monthly depreciation
- Current asset management, including debtor’s collections
- Foreign Currency Revaluation
