Remuneration and Benefits Specialist Bellville Cape Town

Our Client is seeking for a qualified and experienced Remuneration and Benefits Specialist to manage the complete Remunerations and Benefits function. This individual will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing remuneration and benefit and Human Resources practices.

Education:

  • A Payroll or Human Resources qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in processing and managing payroll and benefits
  • Advanced SAGE 300 Payroll system experience
  • Experience and understanding of medical aid and retirement fund rules
  • Experience in coordinating and managing Remuneration and Benefit projects
  • Computer literate: MS Office, SAGE 300, Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Job Experience & Skills Required:

  • Manage the complete payroll function (processing of monthly payroll movements such as engagements, terminations, overtime, earnings, deductions, benefits etc.)
  • To prepare and process the payroll (wages and salaries), within agreed timeframes
  • Adhere to payroll standards and conform to legislative requirements
  • Engagements – collect on-boarding documentation (induction pack, offer letter, contract of employment, benefit forms etc.), process and capture new employee information on the system
  • Terminations – process termination documents (employee exit forms, UI19 Forms, dismissal letters, certificate of service, pension/provident fund and medical aid withdrawal forms) and process the terminations on the system.
  • Ensure all relevant payroll information is kept updated for all personnel and payroll input files
  • Prepare increase schedules and process annual increases and bonuses on the Payroll System
  • Prepare and send monthly payroll reports to manager (salary checklists, variance reports that enlist all new additions, terminations, maternity etc. for approval by General Managers)
  • Resolve all salary/wage queries with managers and employees
  • Process Statutory Submissions (UIF Declarations, Tax submission to SARS, and Third Party reconciliations (e.g. Medical Aid, Pension/Provident Fund etc.)
  • Manage employee benefit programmes by liaising with appointed brokers and/or consultants and ensure all contracts and rates are implemented effectively for (Pension/provident fund, Medical Aid etc.)
  • Manage all WCA documentation and claims
